When something goes wrong with your heat pump in Miamisburg, a straight answer and a fair price matter. Advantage Plumbing Heating & Air diagnoses the real cause and quotes it flat-rate before any work starts. The $99 standard-hours diagnostic applies and is credited to the repair the same day.
Call (937) 519-1430 to get on the schedule. Local and steady since 2020, we put honesty about cost ahead of the quick sale. Advantage works Miamisburg as part of the weekly route, south of Dayton along the Great Miami River. We know the homes near the Miamisburg Mound and across town, which keeps the diagnosis grounded in real local experience rather than guesswork. That local familiarity, from the Miamisburg Mound outward, means less time spent figuring out the house and more spent fixing what you called about.
Rather than chase the obvious symptom, our heat pump repair in Miamisburg starts with a full check of the reversing valve, compressor, capacitor, contactor, refrigerant charge, defrost control, and auxiliary heat strips before anyone names a cause. The written flat-rate quote comes before any work begins. What we find most often is a stuck reversing valve, a failed capacitor, low refrigerant, a defrost control problem, or a worn contactor. Some are quick fixes; others run longer when a part has to come off the truck or be ordered.
Either way the technician explains what failed and what it costs in plain terms before going ahead, so the invoice holds no surprises. And if the same issue could come back without addressing the underlying cause, we tell you that rather than just clearing the symptom for now. Heat pumps are more involved than a straight furnace or AC because the same unit heats and cools, and the reversing valve that switches between them is a common failure point that mimics other problems. We test the system in both modes so a heating complaint is not misdiagnosed as a charge issue when the valve is the real culprit.
A lot of Miamisburg homes have been updated piecemeal over the years, so it is common to find newer fixtures tied into older infrastructure. That mix is worth understanding before any work starts, because the right approach for one part of the house is not always right for another. We account for that rather than treating every home as if it came off the same blueprint. Every repair carries a minimum one-year labor warranty, and parts carry whatever the manufacturer covers. We work on every brand across the Dayton area, not only the ones we install.
Same-day service is available in most cases during standard business hours, Monday through Sunday from 8am to 10pm, and calling early gives you the best chance at a same-day visit. If a part has to be ordered, you get a firm timeline and the price upfront.
Advantage has more than 1000 Google reviews at 4.9 stars across the Dayton region, most of them from repeat customers.

It might be stuck in defrost, low on refrigerant, or the reversing valve may be failing. Sometimes the auxiliary heat is not kicking in. The diagnostic sorts out which. Call (937) 519-1430 and we will sort it out.
Same-day service is available in most cases during weekday business hours. Calling early in the day gives you the best chance, since the schedule fills as the day goes on.
Yes. We repair Carrier, Lennox, Trane, Goodman, Rheem, and the rest, not only the brands we install. The brand does not change how the diagnostic works.
Yes. If the system is old enough or the repair is big enough that replacement makes more sense, we lay out both options with pricing and let you decide. We would rather you make the call with the full picture than spend repair money on a unit near the end of its life.
